The Mission Of Anchor Point

Our MISSION is Simple

We exist to bring glory to God by proclaiming the gospel and making disciples of Jesus Christ (Mark 16:15; Matt 28:18-20; Luke 24:44-47; Acts 1:7-8).

Our MOTIVATIONS are clear

The glory of God–because we love God. Bringing glory to God is why we were created, and our greatest joy is found by bringing glory to Him. Therefore, bringing glory to God and pursuing our joy are not at odds, but are woven together.

The joy of all people–because we love people. We believe that news of great joy in God is offered to all people through Jesus Christ–his life, his death, and his resurrection. Therefore, we believe loving people best occurs when we tell others about God and His Son Jesus Christ while we serve them by meeting their needs.

HOW we plan to implement our mission and motivations

By making disciples of Jesus Christ who are...

  • living on mission to serve and tell the lost about Jesus.

  • maturing together as disciples of Jesus.

  • experiencing multiplication of leaders and locations.

WHO we are and what are and what we want to be known for

  • Prayer driven and Spirit-led in all we do.

  • Biblically shaped in all we teach.

  • Authentically in relationship with all people.

  • Generously stewarding all of God’s resources.

WHEN we know progress is happening.

  1. The number of relationships we have with not-yet-believers. Are we building true, restorative relationships with people and moving beyond our church locations to love our city and region?

  2. Gospel service in and through culture. Is our physical proclamation of the gospel expanding and restoring lives and neighborhoods through loving service to others?

  3. Gospel conversations taking place naturally. Is our verbal proclamation of the Gospel growing? Do gospel centered conversations come up naturally and often?

  4. The number of disciples maturing in their faith. In what ways are we seeing disciples steadily restored, handing all their life over to the lordship of Jesus Christ?

  5. Multiplication of groups. Are groups discover better ways to live on mission and pursue maturity as disciples of Jesus?

  6. The number of “homegrown” leaders being developed. Are new leaders being raised up and sent out?

Our Vision is Clear

God is leading us and all His people to His vision found in Revelation 7:9-12 & 21:1-10 – a people from every tribe, tongue, and nation worshiping God and enjoying him forever in the New Heaven and New Earth. We are praying for, working for, and longing for as many people as possible to be a part of that vision; God’s vision.

We would love for you to join us toward that end– for His glory and your joy, forever.
