Connect People to Community
Work with team leaders and other small group leaders to get to know new and involved attendees during Sunday worship service and other Anchor Point gatherings.
Know the leaders and details of Anchor Point small groups so that you can Invite new and involved attendees to your small group and/or another group that may be a good fit for them/their family. Introduce to other small group leaders as is helpful.
Communicate with your small group and those you’ve invited sending out invitations and reminders
Take attendance weekly in order to know who is coming and how regularly people are coming to your groups.
Spend time with those attending your group outside of small group time (individually and with others) in order to get to know one another, understand the spiritual journeys of one another, and provide vision/opportunity for growth, service and/or leadership.
Connect People to God
Create a small group plan in order to ensure that you are organized and are incorporating all the desired small group components for your group over time. Consider Anchor Point Sermon based content on our website (menu/be involved/groups)
Use your plan to prepare each week's scripture/content, open ended questions that cause your group to observe, interpret, and apply the content to their lives.
Gather prayer requests and help your group pray for one another.
Connect People to Kingdom Mission
Identify and schedule regular opportunities for your small group to reach out to/engage with people in our community who do not know Jesus yet. This could include inviting friends, colleagues, neighbors and others to your group. It could include going out into the community together to have spiritual conversations. It could include planning a special event or activity together once a month to help build relationships and move toward others with gospel intentionality.
Help those in your group discover a place of service within the body of Anchor Point Church. Help identify gifts, connect to potential teams/leaders and discover a place of meaningful and joyful service.
Participate in quarterly leader gatherings.
