Hitting the Beach

Picture
As followers of Jesus, we are called foreigners and aliens in a strange land. We are told this world is not our home, that we live in enemy territory held by the “prince of this world." Though our city is held hostage by a ruthless dictator, we have the privilege of launching a beachhead into our city that will expand the influence of Jesus and His Kingdom in enemy territory. In this series, we explore our call as a church to hit the beaches of the Twin Ports in an offensive of love, hope, and restoration!

2.  Meeting the NEeds of the Community

AUGUST 29--People tend to think a lot of things about our churches--some good, many not. But what would happen if we were to visibly meet needs in God’s power? What would they think then?
  • How many people from our general community population know about Anchor Point and our heart for the community?
  • How is your connection to Anchor Point Visible to those who know you?
  • In what ways could we better meet the needs of the families in our community?
  • Describe how you are leaning on God’s power to direct your involvement in reaching our city.

1.  Go Together

AUGUST 15--Our mission is to be Jesus to our city so people can discover the hope, joy, and healing of being reconciled to God and experience the reality of Jesus in their lives. In this message, we discover how we become like Jesus by doing ministry in the context of community!
