Fight Club

Picture
God created and calls us to be lovers and fighters:  love God and people, fight Satan and his works. Satan is real and bent on destroying us. The Bible repeatedly tells us to resist and fight him. When we don’t fight, we get beaten up with things like fear, depression, despair, anger, suicidal thoughts, sin habits, addictions, and the like. Whether you are just learning that you need to fight, or whether you're an old-timer in the ring and want a quick refresher, this series will help you review and practice your spiritual defensive and offensive techniques.

4.  Know Your Opponent

NOVEMBER 21--Someone once described boxing as "the science of hitting without getting hit." Every boxer has various strengths and signature moves. Knowing these in advance helps an opponent avoid getting hit. Satan also has signature attack moves he's done all throughout history. Knowing what these are will help you dodge these attacks. We'll take a look at them in this message.

3.  The Hook and the Uppercut

NOVEMBER 14--Spiritual warfare isn't just about fighting lies with truth. Two of your best moves as a fighter of spiritual darkness is prayer and worship--do you know how to use them? Listen and train.

2. How to Fight

NOVEMBER 7--Every fighter needs to know the basics of jabs, crosses, hooks, uppercuts, and footwork. Fights are won and lost in the training room. How can a fighter win if he doesn't train? The same is true of fighting a spiritual battle. You need to know the basics of how to fight your enemy, the Devil. You need to train yourself in them to prepare for when the attacks come. This message is about the basics of what the Bible teaches regarding how to fight spiritual battles. Listen and train.

1.  And in this Corner...

OCTOBER 24--Make no mistake. You are in a fight. It doesn't matter if you want to be or not. Ignorance doesn't mean you are exempt. Your opponent is going to fight you regardless of whether or not you fight back. Find out the nature of your fight and who your enemy is. Don't go through life blindfolded.
