History

North Bay Community Church is planted in Superior, WI with
a vision of seeing more healthy churches planted around
the region.

2005

2004

1998

Pastor Jeff Sorvik joins North Bay. He and the core families
of North Bay make a commitment to God and the
Evangelical Free Church of America to help establish a new
church in Duluth as soon as possible.

In the spring, Jeff approaches the leadership of North Bay
with the call God has placed on his heart to take on the
Duluth-church-planting vision.

After much prayer, North Bay confirms this call and releases
nine families, their pastor, and ongoing financial support to
encourage the birth of Anchor Point Community Church.

With five more families from the Duluth area, the core team
begins a year-long journey of prayer, planning and training.

Anchor Point Community Church launches publicly on
September 11.

2007

With the support of North Bay and Anchor Point, Rock Hill
Community Church begins core team training and worship
services.
