Introducing God
There was a time (way back in the 1600s) when theology was a popular
hobby. It was hip to study about God, cool to explore His book. All the
best people were doing it. That was a long time ago. Why would we want
to do that in our modern world when we have so many more interesting
things calling for our attention? Is there any good reason to explore who
God is?
Know It All
We have all run into somebody who thinks they know it all! Often those
people are the definition of annoying—no matter what they think, we
know they don’t know it all. That is, except God. Join us as we are
introduced to a God who really does know it all!
Breaking the Boundaries
A God who fits in the box of our choosing is much easier to understand
and deal with. But what do we do with a God who is to big to be
contained and yet chooses to be among a specific people and a specific
place in a special way? That kind of a God gets outside of our boxes and
changes our world!
The Promise of Jeremiah
The prophet Jeremiah declared some promises from God about how His
know-it-all, be-everywhere power would be used to bless our lives.
Check out a great story from our own church family that breathes life into
the reality of a BIG God.
Sit Down, Atlas!
It seems that we are destined to desire heroes; we all want someone who
can bear the weight of the challenges we face and carry us safely
through the adversity we face. But finding a human being who can
deliver on those hopes is as reasonable as expecting the mythical Atlas
to truly carry the weight of the world. Only God can carry the weight of
the world and still have the strength to deliver us through this life. Sit
down, Atlas, and let God take over!

discover that its meaning is so closely linked to the nature of God that it
cannot be separated from an understanding of His character. So what
