Winning the Rat Race
July 27-August 17

Fast, Frenzied, and Fried
How did things get going so fast? How did my life get so out of control?
Why am I so exhausted and discouraged? Unless we’re intentional
about it, we’ll naturally fall into the hamster wheel of existence. In this
message, we uncover the roots that cause us to live fast, frenzied, and
fried.
Living with Limits
Getting off the hamster wheel of life and onto the pathway of effective
living starts with one important question, “Am I willing to put limits on my
activities so I can be effective instead of overwhelmed?” In this message
we explore how to reshape our lives into something more effective.
Depending on God
When things need to get done, nobody does it better than me! We might
not always admit that we think that way, but most of us do. When the
chips are down, we count on ourselves. But that desire to depend on
our own abilities and strength is a recipe for overload and exhaustion. In
this message we look at a different way to live, and we explore the ways
we can make God the power behind what we do.
Living with Purpose
The fact is, there is always more to do than time to get it done. So, how
do we deal with all the activities, needs, and opportunities that compete
for our time and attention? The best answer is to live with purpose
instead of living by opportunity!

Sometimes life feels like a race; the
pace is alternately exhilarating and
exhausting. But, do you ever feel like
your race course is an exercise
wheel? Lots of motion, little
progress—it’s the essence of a rat
race. In this series, we explore a
different way to live, working toward
a life that is purposeful, exciting, and
fruitful—without the exhaustion!
