What is 4.4.40?
4.4.40 is a 40 day initiative that mobilizes people to pray for, love and serve our city. It's our hope and desire that through these 40 days, the Church will be tuned into what God is doing in our city and join Him in it!
Throughout the 40 day period, people to spend 4 minutes a day at 4:00pm praying for the city over the course of 40 days. They may elect to receive prayer reminders at 4pm via phone, text or email with a short verse and prayer focus for each day.
People seek out at least 4 different service opportunities over the course of the 40 days. People can choose to serve in their neighborhoods, with friends and family or with the many non-profit organizations in our city.
2015's initiative will take place from Sunday, April 6th through Thursday, May 15th.
You can receive a verse and prayer focus reminder message each day just prior to 4pm via text message. To opt-in, simply send a text message with the word "remind" to (218) 260-2900.

Why does 4.4.40 exist?
- A Call To Prayer
“Yet not my will, but yours be done. Luke 22:42”
4.4.40 is an opportunity to seek God’s face. We recognize that nothing of significance will happen in our city without a move of the Spirit. Our prayers focus on praising God, repenting of sin, declaring his Word and yielding ourselves to Him.
- A Call To Hope
“I believe that I will look upon the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Psalm 27:13”
4.4.40 is an opportunity to declare God’s goodness. As we claim Scripture on behalf of the people of our city, we believe God will move and break through in various ways by His Spirit.
- A Call To Unity
“...that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that You have sent me... John 17:20-23
4.4.40 is an opportunity for God’s people to BE His Church together. We long to see the Church unite together in our prayer, love and service towards our city. The heart of God, as reflected in Scripture is that His people would live together in unity.
- A Call To Love
“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. John 13:34”
4.4.40 is an opportunity to show God’s love to others. The love that God has shown each of us compels us to move into loving relationships with one another. 4.4.40 is a time for us to put feet to our faith and show His love to the people of our city in tangible ways.
- A Call To Live
“Let your light shine before others so that they may see your good works and give glory to the Father. Matthew 5:16”
4.4.40 is an opportunity to let God’s light shine. Being the Church means moving outside the walls of our buildings and into the places where God’s love is needed most. We declare and demonstrate the good news of the Gospel as we live lives that show and tell people who God is.
